It's not just the big fires, If your're in a car accident, If you fall down the stairs, if your cat is stuck in a tree, Who do you call? You call a fireman.

~Denis Leary

"I am always amazed how these men walk into fires, when the rest of us run from them."

Rudy Giuliani, Mayor of New York City
9/11/01

"I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know
the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our
proudest moment is to save lives."
